Christians brought the joy of Christ through GO Christmas outreaches from Brazil to South Africa. In Brazil, Christians reached needy children and families with food and the Gospel in Alagoas and other poverty-stricken regions. “We prayed for the resources so that it could arrive at Christmas in Alagoas, and the provision arrived for the families registered and accompanied by the People of the Cross in Grota do Feitosa in Alagosa,” said Johnata with People of the Cross, a GO Action Coordinator for the Global Day of Evangelization.

“The resources came through partnerships that Go Action, AGE – Associação Ação Global de Evangelização, sought through their social networks,” said Johnata. “A children’s evangelism (outreach) was held with games and delivery of sweets, and a basic food basket was delivered to the families. But above all we brought the LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST TO THESE PEOPLE.”

In the Dominican Republic, Rev. Daniel Oscar led a Christmas Outreach with 30 making disciples in a Bible Study in front of their homes in the capital city of San Carlos, Santo Domingo. Rev. Rigoberto Alvarado in Costa Rica worked with the top three TV stations to broadcast “For All of Us,” a Christian program sharing the message of salvation.

Children gave their lives to Jesus during “Operation Nativity,” a Christmas outreach in Chile. Pastor Alvaro from the DAR Foundation worked with canteens and soccer teams. Pastor Eduardo Ancan and several churches reached children in the Mapuche area for a Christmas outreach. Pastor Jimmy Alarcon hosted a Christmas dinner for people who lived on the streets in Calama, Chile.

GO South Africa Coordinator Lulu Nakana reported that during the GO Christmas Outreach in downtown Johannesburg, 200 people were reached and 75 accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour.  “Meals were served and Gospel tracts were distributed,” Lulu said.  “We give God all the glory for the coordinators,  volunteers, and community of believers that donated food, time, and catering equipment to make the  lunch possible for the many people who are not able to be with their families this festive season.”

GO Christmas outreach in South Africa included partnering with Children and Youth ministries to reach young people and children with the Gospel message. “Teachers from different Provinces were trained on different methods of outreach making it exciting for children to actively participate and also making it easier for the children to explain the Gospel message to their peers,” said Lulu. “Teachers were shown how to use everyday objects found in many homes to make various symbols that explain Gospel message and objects or signs children can use and also show to their friends in a fun, engaging and interactive way.”

In the state of Punjab in India, Rev. Jimmy Joseph led a GO Christmas outreach with hundreds of churches. “Hundreds of churches mobilized to share the gospel! In partnership with The Four and TIKVAH!” he said. Rev. Joseph also led an outreach in Mumbai with a dance team to attract attention.

Besides India, South Africa, Chile, and Brazil, we have reports from Tanzania, Kenya, Germany, Spain, the Ukraine and many other countries. We’re thankful for the donations that made these outreaches possible to bring the message of the Gospel and meet practical needs during the holiday season.
